Source Marketing Direct® Takes 20 Suppliers to European Award Ceremony in Barcelona

London events marketing and customer acquisitions firm Source Marketing Direct® will be attending the European outsourced sales industry’s annual awards ceremony on December 14th 2013. 20 suppliers have been invited to attend the ceremony alongside managing director Hector Montalvo.

The event, which is expected to host 1000 attendees, will be the first European awards ceremony attended by Source Marketing Direct®. The firm has previously attended similar events in the UK and USA, most recently in Philadelphia and London. “At Source Marketing Direct® we are greatly excited about the Barcelona awards. This will be our first year of attending this prestigious ceremony and the opportunity for networking will be huge. Additionally, this will be the largest number of suppliers we have taken to an overseas event, reflecting the phenomenal growth we have achieved over 2013,” says Hector Montalvo, managing director of Source Marketing Direct®.

The awards ceremony will be held at the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I in central Barcelona. The venue was selected by the event organisers due to its central location within the city, and its purpose-built conference facilities. The hotel’s conference centre contains an auditorium which accommodates over 2000 delegates, and 35 additional meeting rooms.

Hector Montalvo, managing director of Source Marketing Direct®, believes that the choice of hosting the awards ceremony in Barcelona is a prudent one, given the city’s growing reputation in the business world. Barcelona was awarded ‘most improved European city’ in a Cushman Wakefield survey of business leaders in 2009, and by 2012 it was ranked 24th in the world by the Global City Index. “A dynamic, growing city like Barcelona is ideal to host the awards ceremony, as the event is intended to promote entrepreneurship within the outsourced sales community,” says Source Marketing Direct®’s Hector Montalvo. Aside from business, Montalvo is excited to take in some of the sights of Barcelona while attending the trip. “Although our schedule will be very tight, I aim to squeeze in a couple of hours’ sightseeing. Barcelona is arguably one of Europe’s greatest cities for culture, arts and architecture. I find international travel to be stimulating for business, as it allows a different perspective and acceptance of new ideas,” says Hector Montalvo, managing director of Source Marketing Direct®.
